When teaching kids all senses must be catered for. Use your whole body when singing songs as kids will remember the movements first and then the words. If you can also "watch" songs kids will be delighted.

Of course it´s not that easy with big classes as discipline can be a big issue, but after a "stirring"activity like this you can calm them down with a quiet activity like a drawing based on the song or another handcraft.
